Loreena McKennitt

When the moon on a cloud cast night
Hung above the tree tops height
You sang me of a distant past
That made my heart beat strong and fast
Now I know I'm home at last.

"Samain Night"
Parallel Dreams

For those of you familiar with Loreena McKennitt, you are aware of how she breaths new life into folklore, poetry and sometimes even prayer. My favorites are still To Drive the Cold Winter Away and Parallel Dreams.

If are partial to Celtic music and history, Tennyson's The Lady of Shallot, Dante and the mystic Dark Ages, you will enjoy McKennitt's music.

Quote of the Month

Have you ever really had a teacher? One who saw you as a raw but precious thing, a jewel that, with wisdom, could be polished to a proud shine? If you are lucky enough to find your way to such teachers, you will always find your way back.
