Pre-Raphaelite Art

I love Pre-Raphaelite Art.

This is entitled Flaming June and was painted by Frederick Leighton circa 1895. It is housed in the Museo de Arte de Ponce, Puerto Rico.

The woman in this photo is Dorothy Dene, Leighton's companion, who eventually became a stage actress.

First exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1895. Leighton was suffering from his last illness while painting this picture, and he died in the following year.

WOW !! You are actually from Prince Edward Island...of the Anne of Green Gables stories ? I am honored to meet you !

I quite recently discovered Anne (although I am 27!!..but I recently moved to US and thats how read Anne) and simply LOVE her & the entire crew of PEI. I wondered if PEI really existed or is it just a beautiful dream and I finally came across your blog while surfing.

Please share about your life in PEI.

Maybe you can add a link to your brother's blog in your "links" section, and share some of this growing traffic.
